Enhanced Control Panel Protection
JLG boom lifts are all accompanied with SkyGuard technology. It is a standard system which offers enhanced control panel protection that can be used once an operator comes into contact with the system sensor as she moves toward an obstruction. During the said circumstance, the system’s alarm will emit an audible warning. When activated, Skyguard technology stops all operating functions in use at the time and temporarily reverses the function that is in use. This functionality is available exclusively from JLG.
OHSA identifies the Focus Four hazards as electrical hazards, fall hazards, struck-by hazards and caught-between hazards which make construction site safety a top concern. Skyguard is a sure fire system that helps to lessen the risk of caught-between hazards during operation.
SKYGUARD TECHNOLOGY STANDARD
HOW IT WORKS:
Developed through extensive research and testing, the SkyGuard sensor stops all functions in use at the time when activated by approximately 50 lb (23 kg) of force. It then temporarily reverses some of the functions recently performed by the machine. By stopping the platform and moving the operator away from the obstruction automatically, SkyGuard helps prevent caught-between injuries while working at height.

- Break away feature for extreme conditions on bar-style system
